NEWARK: A funeral service for Vernon Albery of Newark will be held 3:30 PM Sunday January 27, 2013 at Brucker-Kishler Funeral Home, 985 N. 21st Street, Newark, with Pastor Tom Myers officiating.

Mr. Albery, age 65, passed away on Wednesday, January 23, 2013 at Selma Markowitz Care Center operated by Hospice of Central Ohio. He was born August 24, 1947 in Newark, Ohio to his late parents Rollin and Dorothy (Pemberton) Albery. He retired as project manager for Wallick Construction. Vernon was in the United States Marine Corps from 1969-1972 serving during the Vietnam conflict. He is remembered by his family as a loving husband, father and grandfather, he enjoyed golfing, winter vacationing in Florida and watching his grandchildren play sports. He was a graduate of Newark High School and Muskingum College.

Vernon is survived by his loving wife of 36 years Patty (Harmon) Albery; son and daughter-in-law Eric and Amy Albery of Granville, grandsons Blake and Eliot, sister Debbie and brother-in-law Dan Weekley of Hebron, brother-in-law Bruce Ford of Newark, niece Jennifer Ford of Columbus.

In addition to his parents, he is preceded in death by his sister Vickie Ford, step-son Steven and a nephew Joshua.

The family will receive friends and relatives Sunday from 1:00 - 3:30 P.M. at the funeral home. Also the family encourages friends and family to join them in sharing memories after the service at the home of Eric and Amy Albery, 44 Hampden Dr., Granville
